I am a HUGE fangirl.

I wanted to be able to wear jewelry from my favorite fandoms.

But...it's hard to find fandom jewelry in actual stores, and the stuff I did find was all so expensive.

And then one day it occurred to me...I should make my own jewelry!

I can design it how I want, it's easy, and it's cheap!

And then I got to thinking, 'hey, if it was hard for me to find stuff, then obviously it must be for other people!'

Which is how I got started! :)

Now, I'm sure you must also be wondering how I picked my company's name: Lucky's Cheese.

It's a cute story:

First, we must give the background of Lucky, the white rat who's pic is on here, as well as on my business cards.

So several years ago, my most favorite bookstore, Borders, was closing. Like, forever. So we went in a few to look for good deals. Sitting on a table all by himself right by the front doors, was a rat (my Mom likes to say he's a mouse. But he's a rat). I went over (because I'm such a sucker for stuffed animals), and picked him up, and started playing with him. And before you knew it, I was in love with him. ANd by the time we paid for him, so was my Mom! ;)

We eventually learned his favorite food is cheese. He asks for it alllll the time! :)

When I was trying to pick a name, I wanted it to be original and unique to Me.

I was going to include 'wolf' and/or 'Jess', as Jessica is my name, and I love wolves.

But nothing sounded 'different' enough to suit me. Everything sounded like I had already heard it before.

And then one day I was playing with Lucky.

And he asked for cheese.

And I thought, 'ha, Lucky and his cheese. Lucky's Cheese.....'

I said it over and over for a few days.

Feeling it, tasting it, seeing if it came naturally to me.

And it did!

And it stuck.
And I liked it!!

And it was so different. I mean, how many Lucky's Cheeses are you going to find out there?!

And so That it how Lucky's Cheese became my name! :)
